Measurements:

Approx 4" [10 cm] diameter x 4¼" [11 cm] tall


Yarn / Materials Used:

Mainstays Acrylic Yarn (5 oz/142 g; 285 yds/260 m)

Size U.S. E/4(3.5mm) crochet hook 

2 stitch markers.


Abbreviations

Approx = Approximately

Beg = Beginning

Ch = Chain(s)

Cont = Continue

Inc = Increase(ing)


Rnd (s) = Rounds)

Sc = Single crochet

BLOsc = Single crochet in back loop only

SI st = Slip stitch

Sp = Space

St(s) = Stitch(es)

Rep = Repeat


Instructions

Note: Do not join at ends of rounds unless otherwise stated. Cont’ working in spiral placing marker on first st of rnd for easier counting.


Base

Ch 2.

1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 6 sc.

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around. 12 sc.

3rd rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 18 sc.

4th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from

* around. 24 sc.

5th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * around, 30 sc.

Cont in same manner, until there are 42 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. Do not fasten off. Place marker at beg of next rnd.


Side

1st rnd: Ch 1. 1 BLOsc in each sc around.

2nd rnd: 1 sc in each sc around. 40 sc

Rep last rnd until Side from marker measures 4" [10 cm] or however tall you want your basket. 

Do not fasten off.


Handles

CH10. Skip next 5sc. 1 sc in next st. 14sc,  Ch 10. Skip next 5 sc , 1 sc in next st, 14sc, 

Sc into each st of ch slst across to next chain and sc in each st of ch and slst back to the next handle and Fasten off and weave in ends

Link to Ravelry NOTES: This is a completely custom sized pattern worked with a ribbing made to the size of your shoulder width( if you don’t want to do the ribbing you could probably just begin with a chain of FHDC, you can use any weight of yarn between 3-4 (just don’t mix bulky/chunky yarn in for best results) and the length of the top is based on personal preference as well it could be made as a crop top if you want.
